West Byfleet is a commuter village in the English county of Surrey. It lies just outside the M25 motorway and has a railway station, between Woking and Byfleet. It is bounded to the north by the Basingstoke Canal and to the east by the M25 and the Wey Navigation Canal.

The village has many restaurants ranging from thai to Italian, Indian to Chinese. This is because it is a focal centre for many fairly wealthy neighbouring villages such as Pyrford, New Haw, Woodham, Byfleet and Ripley; as well as being on the outskirts of Woking which has few restaurants.

Most of the secondary school students go to Fulbrook School or St John the Baptist School. The local independent school is St George's College.

The sign marking the boundary of West Byfleet is constantly having letters removed so that it reads "WET FEET".
