The Westin Building is a major telecommunications hub and carrier hotel facility located in downtown Seattle, Washington.[1]. The building is also home to the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX) and Pacific Northwest Gigapop's Pacific Wave Exchange.[2]
The facility has a variety of "Meet-me Rooms", which are used by telecommunication carriers and internet service providers to gather and cross-connect their individual networks. They can situate digital fibre racks, direct digital frequency synthesizers (DDFs) and other high-speed switching technology within these facilities. The Westin Building's meet-me rooms are managed facilities where buyers and sellers of broadband networks offer interconnectivity to their backbones and diverse services.[3]
