The West Lions are a Rugby union club based in the Jamison area of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, playing in the territory's premier competition.

On the 13th March 1962, the Lyneham Rugby Union Football Club was formed. The first senior Lyneham Rugby team was entered into the ACT competition in reserve grade in 1963 and by 1966 Lyneham was represented in all three senior grades.

The opening of the Western District Rugby Club in Jamison on the 10th August 1970 signaled the formal change from Lyneham to Wests.

The team's colours are Maroon and Blue.
