"When Your Heart Stops Beating" is the first single released by the band +44. Their debut album, also titled When Your Heart Stops Beating, was released on November 14. The single was first played by KROQ radio on September 17, 2006. The song can be found on iTunes and on the band's MySpace page. The band recently released an electronic version of the song, which can also be heard on their MySpace page.

The song has been featured during college football broadcasts on CBS Sports. More recently, it was covered by the German band Wir sind Helden as part of the iTunes Foreign Exchange single.

The video features the band in an abandoned warehouse where they play the song, during which crowds of people are shown dancing and couples are shown arguing.
