White Widow is a very potent strain of cannabis popular in coffee shops in the Netherlands. It has won the Cannabis Cup and is named for the abundance of trichomes, giving the plant a whitish tint.
White Widow is an indica/sativa cross of an Indian indica and Brazilian sativa strain[citation needed]. The taste is very fruity[citation needed]. When drying, it can smell like overripe apples[citation needed].
