Wind is a film released in 1992. The movie was directed by Carroll Ballard and starred Matthew Modine, Jennifer Grey, and Cliff Robertson.
The film is centered on the America's Cup series of yachting races and uses them as a backdrop for both an action/adventure and a romantic storyline. It is a fictionalized account of Dennis Conner's life, starting from losing the 1983 America's Cup, creating the syndicate Team Dennis Conner, to winning back the Cup at the 1987 America's Cup
