Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance is one of many theatre groups in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area. (Others that are most notable would be the Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, the Kernersville Little Theatre, and the Stained Glass Playhouse). Theatre Alliance is well known for putting on some rather off-beat (yet often poignant and moving) shows. These can range anywhere from the fun and goofy (such as Gilligans Island: The Musical or Zombie Prom) to the campy and outrageous (such as The Rocky Horror Show and Batboy: The Musical) and even to the dramatic and moving (such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Laramie Project). Theatre Alliance has come a long way in the Winston-Salem community and is nearing it's 25th season. Theatre Alliance Performances are done in the McChesney Scott Dunn Auditorium at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA).
