X Is Loaded

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

X Is Loaded are a 4-piece rock band from Bath, England. They consist of:

  • Jake (Phoenix) Robertson - Lead Vocals, Backing Guitar
  • Alex (Martino) Martino - Lead Guitar
  • Alex (Al) Cole - Bass
  • Jamie O'Gorman - Drums

They have released a total of 5 singles, and had one album release, Raw Nerve, on the Music For Nations label.

This four-piece from Bath started out as the band Tenner, but later changed their name to X Is Loaded – an amalgamation of several from a list of possible names, the reason known only to the band. In July 2002, they released the single Massive Misguidance with the label Boss Music. Two years later, in March 2004, they released the single Laugh, Point & Wave on the Music For Nations label, which went to number 1 on the Kerrang! TV video chart.

Touring with the band InMe, they gained popularity and new fans, releasing their third single, 'Thirteen Days' in June and then their debut album, 'Raw Nerve' in July, both with Music For Nations. In November 2004, the band went on a minor headlining tour, and released the download-exclusive single 'Racketeer'.

Having lain low under the pseudonym Exit Club for a year, X Is Loaded are now working on a new album.
