Location in Hunan Province

Xiangtan (Chinese: 湘潭; pinyin: Xiāngtán) is a city located in Xiangtan County in the center of Hunan province, China. It is part of the "ChangZhuTan Golden Triangle" (comprising the cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan).

Xiangtan is home to a military production plant and a military football team.
