Yogi Berra Stadium

Yogi Berra Stadium is a baseball stadium in Little Falls, New Jersey, on the campus of Montclair State University, which is located in Montclair. The stadium is home to the New Jersey Jackals of the independent Can-Am League. It is also used by the Montclair State baseball team. Official seating capacity is 3,784. The New Jersey Pride of Major League Lacrosse used the stadium as their home field for the 2001 season.
Floyd Hall, a resident of Montclair and then chief executive officer of K-Mart, had a stadium and an ice arena built on university grounds in 1998. When an opening arose in the Northeast League, Hall bought in and started the New Jersey Jackals. The stadium was completed just hours before the home opener in May 1998.
Fans hungry for economical entertainment flocked to the ball park for a fun night out, despite the campus’ limited access and egress. The park is well-constructed with good sight lines, although it appeared unfinished during its inaugural season. By 1999, the seating areas had been extended, and the Yogi Berra Museum opened in late 1998, located along the first-base line and named after the former New York Yankees (and New York Mets) catcher, manager and Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Yogi Berra (another Montclair resident). The Museum contains the only sky box seats at the park.
